Themed Boudoir – Spooky Edition

Themed Boudoir Session

As soon as autumn hits, pumpkin spice lattes aren’t on my mind, but Halloween sure is! Spooky season is one of my favorite times of the year, and costume ideas are constantly swirling through my head leading up to Halloween. I know I’m not alone there, so I’m thrilled when a kindred spirit reaches out about getting weird and doing some spooky, themed boudoir in costume! If you like scary movies, you’ll love this dark, moody Halloween boudoir session with Ghostface from the Scream movies!

Cosplay Boudoir Photos

If you’ve ever worn a costume mask, you know how hot and sweaty you can get when you leave it on for awhile, so we made sure to capture some non-costumed photos first with the same dramatic flair you’ll see in the rest of this spooky boudoir session! Even when working with a theme for a photoshoot, it’s nice to have some “regular” photos to warm up and mix things up a bit. Though these shots weren’t really part of the plan for the session, they are absolutely stunning images of an absolutely stunning gal before her transformation into a movie villain!

Spooky Themed Boudoir

As soon as the mask went on, it was showtime. Ghostface really knows how to pose, and these looks could kill! Ghostface never leaves home without her favorite knife, so we had to incorporate that prop into the session. It’s not all business for this villain, though. Ghostface knows how to party, so we brought out the disco balls to really liven up the studio for a little monster mash bash (with “Psycho Killer” by Talking Heads playing in the background).

Ghostface had to get back to business, though, with doing laundry at the top of the to-do list. I don’t know if she’ll ever get those stains out, so those sheets will only be used when other spooky scoundrels and villainous vixens come to play in my studio. Before this boo-tiful baddie gets back to work, she does have one question for you…what’s your favorite scary movie?
